Waleria is a business and human rights / responsible sourcing consultant based in Berlin, Germany. She works on client projects for twentyfifty and supports the human-rights related activities of the German Global Compact Network.
Prior to joining twentyfifty, Waleria worked as project officer at the Institute for Human Rights and Business, the leading international think tank for business and human rights. During her time with IHRB she co-managed a human rights impact assessment of a large Danish retail company and its value chain in 5 countries in Eastern Africa, authored a paper on human rights of migrant workers in the facilities management sector in the UK, and co-authored multiple research papers with IHRB`s East Africa team. She also curated a photographic exhibition on migrant workers for the inaugural Annual Leadership Forum for Responsible Recruitment.
As a Mercator Fellow for International Affairs, Waleria conducted research on business and human rights in Peru, South Africa and Kenya for the Natural Resources Governance Institute, the Heinrich-Boell-Foundation and Natural Justice. She holds an LLM from Queen Mary University, London, the First State Examination in Law from the Humboldt University of Berlin and a Licence en droit from Université Panthéon-Assas, Paris.
