Jenny currently focuses on supporting the private sector in actual and potential conflict situations. She has particular interest in conflict prevention in relation to natural resources and ecosystem services and in organizational management and alignment.
Recent assignments include a Responsible Business Assessment for an extractives multinational in Africa and stakeholder engagement in the ICT industry on human rights aspects of their sustainability strategy.
Jenny has over 20 years’ experience in senior management (in government and INGOs: Oxfam International and WWF International) and consultancy positions (including with UN, private sector and I/NGOs). Much of her work has been focused on mainstreaming environment-development-conflict prevention aspects in private sector and public orgnizations. It has included environment and development advocacy and partnerships; convening collaborative processes for sustainable solutions; environmental and social impact assessment/responsible business assessment/human rights impact assessment; corporate responsibility/business integration; and, leading reorganization/change and team development, programme management, evaluation and financing (including fundraising).
She is a multidisciplinary team player - flexible, versatile, with strong leadership, people, and technical skills. Driven by a strong commitment to professional integrity, justice and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to genuine sustainable development. Jenny is British and spent much of her childhood in Africa. Since 1998 she has been based in Switzerland. She holds Masters degrees in Agricultural Development and in Systems in Management (soft systems analysis) and a Bachelors in Biological Sciences.
