I am a sustainable business professional experienced in business and human rights, women’s empowerment and social impact initiatives. I thrive on working with a range of clients, adding value through policy development, capacity building, assessing current approaches to human rights and key risks.

Over the last 10 years, I have worked in Europe, Japan, the US and Africa. I enjoy sharing insights from my experience in the technology, industrial, financial, agriculture and charity sectors.

It’s important for me to give back to my local community, so I am a trustee of a small charity supporting disadvantaged families and individuals with addiction.

I have worked in strategy, leadership and executive coaching and am certified in holistic counselling, systemic coaching with a post graduate degree in organisational behaviour and strategy, a diploma in business management and I speak English, German and Portuguese.

I have been driving change for people and business in supply chains for over 13 years through my work as a management consultant. My passion is centred on creating better futures for workers and their families alongside strengthening commercial business.

I have worked in multiple sectors (for example, garments, food and FMCG) and with a vast range of major international brands and organisations (for example, Walmart Inc., Kingfisher, AIM Progress and the Ethical Trading Initiative). I particularly enjoy creating simple and innovative solutions to problems.

I hold a BSc in Textile Engineering and a PhD in Green Chemistry.

I am a consultant based in Berlin and have lived and worked in Kenya, Myanmar, and Peru. My passion is centred around labour risks, building a long-lasting relationship with stakeholders and embedding human rights in corporate strategies.

Before twentyfifty, I worked as an analyst at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development with Sustainability Reporting and Sustainable Finance Policy developments. I have experience in stakeholder engagement, materiality analysis, supply chain management and sustainable strategies.

I hold a master’s degree in International Sustainability Management from ESCP Business School.

I am a senior consultant based in Berlin and I joined twentyfifty after working on various projects promoting responsible business conduct, mainly in the apparel sector. My expertise is primarily in the apparel, retail and consumer goods sectors, complemented by some project experience in the automotive, industrial and pharmaceutical sectors.

My work is informed by my background in international relations, philosophy, politics and economics, as well as my experience on the ground in Southeast Asia. When I’m not behind my desk, you’ll find me on the amateur stage pursuing my passion for acting.

Before joining twentyfifty, I worked as a corporate sustainability consultant, advising large and medium-sized firms on their sustainability strategy and reporting requirements, conducting human rights risk analysis and putting human rights legislation into corporate practice. My experience spans across the retail, textile, real estate and telecommunications sectors.

My background in International Development and Business &Management explains my passion for including rightsholders’ perspectives in business management decisions. I have lived and worked in several European countries and in South Africa and speak German, English and French.

My experience includes building risk assessment processes, providing training tailored to different audiences, and managing multi-stakeholder programmes. I am fluent in French and English and continue to practice my Spanish.

I have a background in law, trade, and responsible business conduct, and 15 years’ experience working across four continents on issues relevant to corporate sustainability. I am passionate about business and human rights and enjoy working with people to learn and solve challenges together.

Previously, I worked with the OECD Centre for Responsible Business Conduct, the UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR) and the Ethical Trading Initiative, as well as other national and inter-governmental organisations in complex and challenging environments.

I have a Master in Public International Law Degree (LLM) and a Master in Public Administration Degree (MPA). Outside of work, I’m a runner, football obsessive, music lover and aspiring (bad) cook.

I have a background in Development Studies and Public Policy working in areas of social research, labor rights in agriculture, child protection/child labor, community development and programming. I have a Master’s in public law with a specialization in International Law & Human Rights from the University of Zürich.

I have worked with leaders and CEOs in multinational companies including British Airways, BP and Unilever.  I also had the unique experience of telling the amazing sustainability story behind the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

I have been working in sustainable agribusiness and food supply chains for over 15 years in both commercial and development industries. My career has given me an opportunity to live and work in some fantastic parts of the world and be directly at the intersection between business and sustainability.

Most recently I have been a supply chain adviser to Fairtrade advising on programme development for coffee and cocoa businesses. Prior to this I was a director at Windward Commodities where I invested in a portfolio of sustainable agri-food brands and supply chains in Africa and the Caribbean.

I have a MSc from Bath University in International Development, as well as recently completely an MBA Essentials course from LSE.

Before joining twentyfifty, I worked as an ESG and human rights analyst at a consultancy firm and as a labour rights researcher at the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre, an international NGO, where I focused on human and labour rights in garment and supermarket supply chains.

I hold a BA in Law from the University of Oxford and a Certificat Supérieur de Droit Français et Européen from Panthéon-Assas University. I speak French, Hindi and Punjabi.

I have worked in supply chains for over 20 years, starting at Sainsbury’s as a buyer before moving to Sedex and then Marks and Spencer.  In my last role, I led sustainability and human rights for the Foods business.

Today I work with some of the world’s leading companies on projects ranging from defining their strategy through to rightsholder engagement.  I am the twentyfifty expert on responsible procurement and supply chains.  I really enjoy the variety and supporting companies to embed human rights and sustainable business. I am also Head Tutor for the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership ‘Sustainable Supply Chains’ short course and sit on the Advisory group of the UK UN Global Compact.

I have been lucky to meet workers and farmers across the world and am committed to striving for equality and fairness, which for me means sustainable supply chains and flourishing communities.

This coupled with my cross-sector expertise, enables me to bring a unique perspective of sustainable agriculture whilst leading our projects at Board level and into the whole value chain, to address human rights challenges.

During my undergraduate studies I interned with the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in India.

Prior to joining twentyfifty, I worked as the Ethical Trading Manager for retailer Oliver Bonas where I was responsible for developing the strategy, supply chain mapping and human rights risk assessments.

I thrive on building trusting relationships with those on the ground and I have experience developing factory improvements plans and worker engagement projects whilst working collaboratively with suppliers and buying teams. I have a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Nottingham.

I am a Swiss national of Russian origins living in Kyiv, Ukraine. Before joining twentyfifty, I was a freelance consultant based in The Hague, advising international NGOs and think-tanks on their strategies for Ukraine. I started my career in the diplomatic service, before embarking on several human rights-related jobs in Geneva, including as one of the first UN human rights field officers.

I also worked in the energy industry (privately-owned holdings in oil and gas, thermal generation and renewables; in Moscow and Kyiv) for 15 years where I built a career solving complex sustainability challenges in fragile situations and conflict zones.

I have lived, studied and worked in Sub-Sahara Africa and Geneva and have a background in International Law/Relations.

I specialised in partnerships between the private sector, NGOs, government institutions, and industry bodies, with a focus on child and human rights issues within agricultural value chains such as tea and vanilla.

I founded twentyfifty in 2004 and am now Chief Executive Officer.  Currently, I lead the international growth of our business and work on several of our larger client accounts: engaging senior leaders, facilitating industry and multi-stakeholder dialogues and devising responses to particularly challenging situations.   

I learnt human rights whilst supporting organisational change in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and working for Mary Robinson in her outreach to business was a highlight.  I am a great believer that in learning to respect human rights, companies can build the social intelligence and adaptive capabilities to navigate what promises to be one of the most challenging periods of human existence; the road to 2050.

I’ve worked in the field of organisational development for over 25 years with a focus on strategy development and implementation in sustainability issues, corporate values and Human Rights in Business.  My work in agricultural supply chains includes multi-stakeholder engagement, embedding of management systems, reporting processes, and supply chain due diligence.  I’ve worked with the Mondelez Cocoa Life program, Japan Tobacco International’s agricultural labour practices program and developed a global training on children’s rights and business principles for UNICEF.

I am passionate about how a people-centred due diligence approach can augment environmental sustainability and vice versa; and how to stay resilient in turbulent times.  My current personal resilience practices include somatic movement, gardening and slightly too much Netflix.

Before starting my position at twentyfifty, I travelled and lived in many different places. Outside of my work at twentyfifty, I enjoy creating research based photography and engage in community photography projects.

Prior to joining twentyfifty I worked for Japan Tobacco International for twelve years, ending my career as the Corporate Affairs VP for their Global Supply Chain.

I am an international development consultant with more than 12 years’ experience in the fields of women’s economic empowerment, livelihoods strengthening and resilience building, child protection and community development. Prior to joining twentyfifty, I worked for various UN agencies and the USAID on development assignments in South Africa, Malawi, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

My inspiration and expertise is informed by lived experiences and solid understanding of the political, economic and socio-cultural context of  Southern Africa and desire to see meaningful development in the region.

I hold a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Pretoria (South Africa); an MA in Development Studies and Gender from the University of Leeds (UK) and BSc and MSc in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe.

It has inspired me to always look for tailored solutions, adapted to the reality of the situation on the ground.

Before joining twentyfifty, I had a senior finance role at a multi-national management consultancy and worked for a small wave power engineering company in Somerset.

Along with my passion for travelling, I am also an avid golfer and enjoy heading down to the Dorset coast with my wife and two children for some sea, sand and occasional sun.

My role as Chairman is to help twentyfifty realise its full potential for the benefit of all stakeholders. I support the board and management team in defining and delivering on our mission and strategic objectives; identifying and developing commercial opportunities and helping to improve our customer service and general corporate governance.

Originally a strategy consultant with Ernst and Young, I then spent almost twenty years as an investor supporting a variety of small to medium sized enterprises through growth. Over the past ten years, I’ve specialised in the compliance sector including as Non-Executive Director of Complinet, and more recently as Chairman of Acoura Group.

Before twentyfifty, I worked for The Body Shop and UK convenience retailer Co-op, where I developed supplier capability to manage human rights issues through training, events, and facilitation of peer-to-peer learning. I have led Sedex audit management reporting, and strategy development focusing on living wage, modern slavery, responsible recruitment and operationalising effective grievance mechanisms.

Having started my career in the NGO sector in Nepal and Tanzania, I see worker voice and a rightsholder-centric approach as a key pathway to resolving root causes of issues.

I also launched an events management start-up with a focus on female representation within the industry.

I am a seasoned human rights advocate, with 17 years’ experience working to protect and empower rightsholders and vulnerable communities across the globe. My diverse experience working with companies, governments, non-profits and various UN offices across Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America helps me analyse human rights risks and impacts from the perspectives of different stakeholders in multiple cultures.

My knowledge of women’s rights makes me particularly attuned to the gendered way in which business can affect human rights, and my work in conflict zones allows me to navigate the heightened due diligence requirements in such environments. I hold a masters in Human Rights from LSE and a postgraduate diploma in Human Rights and Business. I also work in both French and Spanish.

I am a Consultant based in London, holding prior experience in the garment, textile and leather goods industries. My main focus areas include on-the-ground supply chain capacity building, developing internal and external-facing responsible sourcing strategies and working towards addressing the living wage gap, both from top-down and bottom-up experience working at a living wages multi-stakeholder initiative and a global fashion brand. My professional experience builds on my BA in History, with a specialisation in Politics and Sociology, at the University of Bristol.

I am a managing consultant working across multiple sectors including agriculture, FMCG, trading and maritime. I work closely with clients to build engagement in human rights across multiple stakeholders.

Over the past few years, I have led on human rights impact assessments, developing supplier management processes and delivering high-impact training. My experience includes working alongside small teams to carry out discreet pieces of work as well as managing large-scale, multiple-stakeholder programmes. I am an experienced trainer and worker interviewer. My work is informed by my on-ground experience in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
