The report, prepared for the UK's Ministry of Justice, is providing a stimulus for a UK-focused dialogue on business and human rights.
The Private Sector and Human Rights in the UK report provided the key input to a multi-stakeholder consultation on 12 November 2009. The consultation, organised by the Ministry of Justice, Equality and Human Rights Commission and Business in the Community, with TwentyFifty's support, looked at the opportunities to move forward identified in the report, and continue to build a UK-focused business and human rights dialogue. A range of businesses participated in the consultation alongside representatives from the CBI, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Joint Committee for Human Rights and the organisers.
