TwentyFifty team member Nick Pyatt is leading an initiative in India that aims to address key barriers to the poor benefiting from globalisation by creating an innovative social business structure.  The business would be owned by thousands of small businesses and buys in the management, supervision and co-ordination capacity to supply their produce to a globalised market. Industrial buyers from forest, ports and mining sectors have already expressed strong interest in the approach. TwentyFifty’s implementing partners include Schumacher Centre Delhi and Dialogue Associates.

The report, prepared for the UK's Ministry of Justice, is providing a stimulus for a UK-focused dialogue on business and human rights.

TwentyFifty has added the UK's Ministry of Justice, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Vodafone and Rio Tinto to its client list in 2009

TwentyFifty has been appointed by the Ministry of Justice to engage with UK businesses and determine the level of human rights awareness and understanding.

Merck, Deutsche Bank, Siemens and BASF are among the participants in training on business and human rights provided by TwentyFifty, 11-12 December 2008 in Berlin.
