Mark Hodge

Mark has had extensive experience working with energy and water utilities. He has also delivered our Business and Human Rights training in the UK and India. He advises to the Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights, and is currently leading our 2050 Leadership Dialogues.

Mark has led numerous projects and start-up enterprises in social and environmental sustainability. He has also engaged in consulting projects supporting organisational development and the formation of communities and networks in the public, private and charitable sectors.


He has previously worked in community regeneration, delivering a DTI/London Development Agency pilot to engage multi-national companies in supporting scaleable locally-owned, locally-led businesses in East London (managing a portfolio of 8 start-up businesses). He has developed a series of leadership programs for young offenders, community activists and recent graduates to explore the connection between personal values and social change. In 2004 Mark co-founded The Hub, a unique incubator for social innovation in Central London.

He holds an honours degree in Political Theory from the University of London, and is a member of the Society of Organisational Learning. He attended the United World College of the Atlantic, South Wales and International School of Geneva, Switzerland. He is an experienced facilitator and has recently completed training in Scenario Planning at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
